The Warhead Industries Base Brushless Motor like its more expensive counterpart, the black version. Was Designed from the ground up with offering the most cost effective price point in mind. A complete set of new molds including the stator were used to produce this awesome budget friendly brushless AEG motor.

The Warhead BASE motor is designed to be a cheaper alternative to its older broth the CNC black version. It is available in FOUR different speeds in both long and short shaft variants. The motor is fully compatible with a host of ETU and mosfets including brands such as Jeftron, Gate and Perun.

FOUR DIFFERENT SPEEDS AVAILABLE IN SHORT AND LONG SHAFT.

20K RPM AT 11.V
27K RPM AT 11.1V
35K AT 11.1V
45K AT 11.1V

Brushless motors offer several other advantages, including;

  • Higher torque to weight ratio

  • Increased torque per watt of power input (increased efficiency)

  • Increased reliability and lower maintenance requirements

  • Reduced operational and mechanical noise

  • Longer lifespan (no brush and commutator erosion)

  • Elimination of ionizing sparks from the commutator (ESD)

  • Near-elimination of electromagnetic interference (EMI)

Great motor

Must use a mosfet! I ran this motor without any mosfet and it burnt up second time I used it.

Hi William,

You shouldn't need a MOSFET to run these motors.
Also, its pretty hard to 'burn' them out as they self-protect themselves pretty well.
However, electrically speaking, any gun with a 'micro switch' such as guns made by ARES are notoriously bad for having trigger switch bounce. Though it won't fry the motor itself. It may cause it to switch itself to 'SAFE' Mode.

All warhead motors feature a 'SAFE' mode. It basically renders the motor unuseable. To switch it off from safe mode, you need to manually plug in the wires directly to a battery for ~5 seconds until it spins again. Theres usually a red warning light on it if its activated while plugged in.

Safe mode only activates under the following instances, the motor detects a massive electrical spike (like a short circuit), the wires are plugged in reverse polarity, excessive PME strikes (also spikes in current), voltages over 12.6v is detected.

Overheat protection exists, which temporarily disables the motor until temperature falls back to acceptable levels.

So again double check the issue, and you might want to see why the motor reacted first. You may have a larger problem with your gun.

Out with the old, and in with the new

Sent my CQB rec-7 in for some updates due to motor heating. UA set me up with a teardown, rebuild, and an installation of the warhead motor. This thing is a workhorse.
