UA_GEARBOX Classification & Info

Airsoft has no official standardization and over the years with new parts and rifles, it is hard to exactly predict what exactly your rifle will do once our Gearbox is installed. So for us, simply stating even a clear range of expected rate of fire with this FPS and range is problematic. Instead we list the basis for what our gearboxes are based on and what we would utilize them for. As all our gearboxes are ones we would use in our production models. But if you do not have one of the rifles we use as a production base but still want to find the right gearbox for what you are trying to do, here is a break down of what our gearboxes are set up to do.

CQBR
UA gearboxes we sell as CQBR are generally DSG oriented builds. As a generalization, if you are looking to attain an indoor field build this will be the best gearbox to use as a base. You should try to avoid using a barrel length of longer than 310mm. In most circumstances if you are trying to be under 350FPS with .2g BBs we advise basing this gearbox with a shorter barrel length. Otherwise, you will need to change the spring rating. Rate of fire depends on motor used and the exact build we feature, but most CQBR gearboxes will shoot between 40-45RPS on an 11.1v with an ideal motor.

CARBINE
UA gearboxes we sell as CARBINE are generally SSG short stroke oriented builds. As a generalization, if you are aiming for an intermediate build that is suitable for most outdoor fields CARBINE gearboxes are an excellent build to base on. You should try to avoid using a barrel length longer than 416mm as air volume may lead to poor performance. You can use as short of a barrel length as possible but most of our builds that use this gearbox type will have a barrel length of at least 280mm in order to attain outdoor velocity. Otherwise, you will need to change the spring rating. Rate of fire depends on motor used and the exact build we feature, but most CARBINE gearboxes will shoot between 27-33RPS on an 11.1v with an ideal motor.
DMR
UA gearboxes we sell as DMR are generally SSG full stroke oriented builds. As a generalization, if you are aiming for a long range, high FPS build, DMR gearboxes are an excellent build to base on. You should try to avoid using a barrel length longer than 457mm as air volume may lead to poor performance. You can use as short of a barrel length as possible but most of our builds that use this gearbox type will have a barrel length of at least 387.5mm in order to attain high velocity/joule results. Otherwise, you will need to change the spring rating. Rate of fire depends on motor used and the exact build we feature, but most DMR gearboxes will shoot between 22-25RPS on an 11.1v with an ideal motor.
